It's only October of '13 but I've already maxed out my bookings for the first quarter of 2014! Hey, it's never too early to draft travel plans for next year. And now that two of the best low-cost airlines have joined forces, I expect to visit more tempting destinations - both local and international - soon!
Yes, Air Asia + Zest Air = AirAsia Zest! It's our very own AirAsia in Manila (now flying from NAIA Terminal 4, no need to go to Clark)!
Travel in the Philippines, and heck, Travel in Asia with AirAsia is so affordable, it's now giving other budget airlines a run for their money. As a matter of fact, two of my bookings are with Air Asia Zest. Here's a little sneak peek:
You're probably thinking that my credit card is complaining of 'overwork' by now. But no, these plane tickets are on the cheap. You don't believe me? AirAsia Zest dares you to compare prices with other low cost carriers!
So let's see... Where else should I go for the remainder of my next year? Help me decide - here is my destination wish list:
Kalibo (Boracay)
I've only been to Boracay once, and that was umpteen years ago. I think it's about time for a revisit! It's one of the top rated beach destinations in the country offering powder-fine white sand, an endless list of fun beach activities and a hopping party scene ~ definitely world-class! I want to go there with my family again - just like old times!
Can you say Throwback? |
Puerto Princesa
Images of tuquoise lagoons, the Wonder-of-the-World underground river and karst islets once played in my imagination when I successfully booked a Puerto Princesa promo seat last year. But all that went away when I was told my flight got cancelled. This was back when Air Asia was still operating in Clark. No harm done, and I got my refund.
Well, now that AirAsia has a better presence in Manila, it looks like Puerto Princesa is only just a few clicks (and 30 minutes to the airport) away! El Nido, here I come!!!
Cebu
You can tell by the number of Cebu blog entries I have that I'm practically a local there. What can I say? It's my favorite destination in the Philippines! In fact, I'll be spending Yule season there (refer to first e-ticket pic). So what's another flight back there after a few months, right? Viva to more flights to Cebu!
The newly re-branded AirAsia Zest flies from Manila to these exciting local destinations: Cebu, Davao, Kalibo (Boracay), Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran and Cagayan de Oro.
Moving on to international destinations. Oh, how I'd love to see, hear, taste and feel...
Shanghai, China
My sister lives in Hangzhou (another AirAsia route), and my parents always come to visit here there via Shanghai - hitting two birds with one stone, so to speak! I promised her that I'd come to visit her one of these days, and looks like it's gonna happen very soon, thanks to AirAsia's unbelievably affordable fares!
Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
There's nothing wrong with visiting a place twice. And that's how I feel about Kota Kinabalu.
After successfully climbing Mt. Kinabalu (by far my biggest feat in mountain climbing), my legs gave up and they felt like jelly for days! I want some revenge! Yup, another shot at a city tour in KK! That, and another chance to take home some Sabah Tea!
AirAsia Zest, NAIA Terminal 4 international flight routes are: Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Shanghai, Incheon (South Korea).
Are you ready? Are you set? Then go on to www.airasia.com to secure next year's travel tickets early like me! They're having a ZERO FARE promo til Oct 13, and a P299 base fare promo till Oct 20!
