The Columbia Eco Trail Run series in Cebu kicks off 2012 with its toughest race course yet.
Race organizers Ralph Pilapil and Larry Honoridez have collaborated with Lilo-an Mayor Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco, a runner-adventurer himself, to make this race one for the books.
The race is set on a 12.6 kilometer decorated rock and roll trail in Barangay Mulao, Lilo-an (about an hour from Cebu City).
Just a background: Last year, Lilo-an hosted one of the most notoriously difficult off-road race out there, the Xterra.
Participants will need to manage through 2 river sections, up and down Mt. Lanigid, do some boulder scrambling and pass by a hanging bridge and stone ark -- all under the four hour cut-off time.
