Things to consider:
. Registration fee is collected at camp 1 or camp 7
. There is no public water source, but you can use a public toilet in camp 1
. Potable water for sale is available at camp 1
. Sometimes, the locals carry softdrinks up the mountain to sell to hikers
. Bring all necessities with you since there’s no market nearby (food, condiments)

Options:
. You may park your car at Evercrest (subdivision) if you decide to bring one
. If there are no trikes available, you will have to start trekking from Evercrest subdivision (add about 1 hour to trekking time)
. There are plenty of campsites leading to the summit. The biggest ones are camp 1 and camp 7.
. You may leave your packs at the camp 1 (or other campsites) for easier summit assault. Just make sure somebody will stay behind to watch over them.
. There are two trails to get to the summit: one easy sloping assault, passing by all the campsites and a new one, passing through the jagged peaks; You may traverse the mountain starting at the jagged peaks and descending through the campsites but you will have to pay 2 registration fees.
· Some hikers proceed to Mt. Talamitam, Mt. Batulao's sister mountain, which is only a commute away
. Just adjust this itinerary if you want to stay overnight; Add about 30 minutes trekking time up and down the mountain since you'll be bringing a heavier backpack. You may also head to Tagaytay and spend the night in one of its cozy hotels.
