Notes:
. To get to Capones and Camara Islands, you must take a boat from Barangay Pundaquit in San Antonio.
. Many buses headed to Zambales towns pass by San Antonio town. From the town center/bus dropoff, you can take a trike to Barangay Pundaquit.
· The islands are small and uninhabited ergo no beach resorts, so there are no restrooms
· Bring enough supply of water because there is no potable water on the island
· Waterproof all your things- the boats for hire are just small motor fishing boats
· Light trekking up the lighthouse
· Rocky trek on the beach
Options:
· Taking private car will reduce travel time by about 30 mins
. You may ask your boat man to take you to Anawangin Cove for an overnight stay in a secluded beach.
· If you feel like exploring the mainland in Barangay Pundaquit, you'll find a waterfall on the side of Mt. Pundaquit; Just keep walking to the left side on the beach in San Antonio. Upon reaching a creek, just follow it inland. Locals may guide you there.
. Modest accomodations are available in Pundaquit beach.
. You can go on a side trip to Subic/Olongapo area and maybe spend a night there, too. Book a room below:
